Martec Engineering will refurbish your Martec prop to its original factory specifications.

There is no one who understands the workings of your Martec folding propeller better than the people who originally designed and manufactured it.

Reconditioning of your folding propeller will correct functioning problems with the unit—including opening and closing, and vibration.

Please note that if after refurbishing the propeller you still experience functioning problems, these maybe related to wear and maintainance issues in some models of  transmissions.

This service is necessary approx. every 5 to 10 years depending on, the enviroment that the prop lives in, amount / type of use, size of prop, and number of different operators

In regards to used propellers that are on the market:
We have seen far more extremely worn out props than ones that have any serviceable life left in them. Props often have issues with wear and/or electrolysis, in which case the sellers have little understanding, or knowledge of potential metal degradation.  Electrolysis does not always show itself visually, i.e. pitting, pinkish metal, it can have none of the above and yet be highly compromised in it's strength.

It is truly a buyer beware market.

Always check with us to see if we have any used propellers in stock.

Any of the used propellers we decide to sell, will have gone through a thorough evaluation and refurbishing to make sure that it is in good working condition and ready to use.  The price maybe higher but you will always know what you are getting.

PLEASE NOTE:

The dimensions of a prop are stamped (depending on age of prop) on the flat part of the blade which connects to the hub

i.e. RH12DX10P-3 indicates a Right Hand (rotation) 12" diameter by 10" pitch Mark III Eliptec propeller.

The shaft diameter is stamped on the hub; 3/4, 7/8, 1, 1-1/8, 1-1/4, 1-1/2, etc.
