In what country was the boat built?
If not built in the United States then please determine the following additional measurements:
Taper on the shaft
Shaft Nut Threads
Shaft Diameter (please indicate whether in millimeters or inches)
Size of Keyway (please indicate whether in millimeters or inches)
Fin keel with shaft & strut installation
Shaft exits directly from keel
Prop is seated in an aperture
The amount of clearance from the tip of the blade to the hull should be 15% of the overall diameter of the blade, i.e., a 15" diameter prop will require 9-3/4" measurement from the center of the end of the shaft to the hull.
Radius of one blade: .......7-1/2" plus 15% of the diameter: 2-1/4" ...................................=9-3/4"
Distance to hull (with blades open)
Distance to rudder (with blades closed) If prop-shaft is offset, distance to nearest "hard-over" location
Distance to skeg (arc of blades when opening)
Please Note: Martec folding propellers will set further aft on the shaft than most fixed propellers
